Mental Health Evaluation

Mental Health Evaluation

When “I” is replaced by “We”, illness becomes wellness

A mental health evaluation is a complete assessment for any mental and emotional problems that may have an impact on social, academic and/or vocational functioning. A mental health evaluation may be requested by the court system, schools, medical doctors, probation officers, or by an individual, as well as, any other referral source. Recommendations are made regarding any further treatment.

A mental health evaluation may take 1-3 sessions to complete, depending on the length of the sessions, the individual’s history, and collateral information gathered (medical records, legal history, school records, substance abuse history, mental health disorders, family history, etc).
